Fine Arts Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• OpenEd Teachers are instrumental in guiding students throughout their educational experiences.

• Engage directly with students and their families to offer motivation, accountability, and personalized support.

• Collaborate with fellow educators across the program.

• Assess and provide feedback on student learning logs, ensuring timely and constructive responses to facilitate student advancement.

• Conduct synchronous sessions with students in one-on-one, small-group, or large-group formats.

• Mentor and tutor students enrolled in designated courses.

• Develop captivating lessons, activities, or learning experiences.

• Customize resources and support to cater to the unique needs of each student.

• Identify students at risk and coordinate effective pathways to intervention.

• Communicate with parents to offer guidance and assistance.

• Participate in IEP meetings as required and collaborate with pertinent stakeholders.

• Contribute to the program by supporting a designated group of students while also undertaking additional responsibilities based on team and student requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid teaching certification in Kansas, including a Fine Arts endorsement.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.

• Deep understanding that each child is distinct and gains from tailored learning approaches.

• Compassionate, organized, patient, and a reliable communicator.

• Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Forms, etc.).

• Confidence in learning various online tools, systems, and programs.

• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

• Must have access to a smartphone, high-speed internet, computer, and webcam.

• Authorized to work in the U.S. (but can reside/work from any pre-approved location).
