Financial Systems Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Engage with DAF Major Commands and bases to support everyday Financial Management operations.

• Review, reconcile, and amend transactions to address accounting discrepancies.

• Utilize Air Force accounting systems and feeder systems for data entry and corrections.

• Evaluate financial data using Microsoft Office applications, notably Excel and Power BI.

• Investigate and resolve accounting challenges raised by Financial Management clients.

• Assist other SAF/FMF teams during peak periods and year-end processes.

• Deliver specialized user support based on metrics, recurring critical task outcomes, and other data analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Air Force Financial Management.

• Knowledge of Department of Defense Financial Management procedures for posting accounting entries.

• Proficient in briefing and communicating effectively with senior leaders and managers.

• Understanding of Air Force Lines of Accounting and financial data components.

• Experience in reconciling contract and obligation documents.

• Knowledge of reviewing miscellaneous collection and disbursement vouchers.

• Familiarity with D-to-O balancing reconciliation.

• Experience in reviewing Open Document Listings.

• Proficient in researching dormant obligations.

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Azure, or HighBond.

• Familiar with Access Online (AXOL), Advana, Central Disbursing System (CDS), Commander's Resource Integration System (CRIS), Defense Cash Management System (DCMS), Defense Enterprise Accounting Management System (DEAMS), Deployable Disbursing System (DDS), Defense Transaction Interface Module (DTIM), Financial Management Suite (FMSuite), General Accounting and Finance System Base Level (GAFS-BL), GAFS-Re-Engineered (GAFS-R), Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS), Intra-governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC), Mechanization of Contract Administration System (MOCAS), Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE), Reserve Travel System (RTS), Standard Base Supply System (SBSS), and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF).

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related IT field, or equivalent experience.

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
