This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage daily settlement review and reconciliation activities with various banking partners.
• Analyze settlement files and verify bank-reported transactions against internal ledger entries.
• Conduct reconciliation and variance analysis to ensure the precision of financial activities.
• Review and authenticate NACHA files and settlement transactions.
• Examine payment discrepancies and determine the underlying causes of settlement variances.
• Raise issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve exceptions.
• Coordinate manual fund transfers and settlement adjustments.
• Act as an operational checkpoint before the release of external files and settlement processing.
• Relay settlement status, reconciliation outcomes, and exception findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare account reconciliations and the necessary supporting documentation.
• Aid in monthly close activities, journal entries, and account analysis.
• Support balance sheet reconciliation processes.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial records and documentation.
• Adhere to accounting policies and procedures.
• Participate in audits and provide relevant supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Production Support, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams.
• Engage with banking partners and third-party vendors on settlement and reporting tasks.
• Identify opportunities for enhancing processes, controls, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Provide backup coverage and assist with cross-functional financial operations duties.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field of education and experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in accounting, financial operations, reconciliation, treasury, banking, payments, or a related area.
• Proficient in performing reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Experienced in investigating financial discrepancies and resolving exceptions.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis capabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in banking, FinTech, payment processing, ACH, NACHA, card processing, or settlement is preferred.
• Preferred experience working directly with financial institutions or sponsor banks.
• Exposure to financial operations, treasury management, or payment operations is preferred.
• Familiarity with Power BI or other financial reporting tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, or reporting platforms is preferred.
• Experience using productivity and AI tools like Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.
