Financial Reporting, Planning and Analysis Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare and maintain monthly payroll files, which includes rolling forward payroll data, updating various tabs, and reconciling payroll files with invoices.

• Record monthly payroll expenses and update employee lists according to changes from the Census.

• Develop staffing forecasts based on current and open positions for each school.

• Create necessary journal entries in Sage Intacct.

• Prepare and refresh passthrough files, including coding passthrough expenses and updating relevant tabs.

• Review and reconcile passthrough files against invoices.

• Record monthly miscellaneous expense transactions and accruals.

• Prepare monthly financial statement closing files.

• Update grant tracking spreadsheets and perform roll forwards of SFS working papers.

• Maintain supporting documentation.

• Assist with bank reconciliation tasks, which includes preparing templates for the Cash Receipts Journal (CRJ) and Cash Disbursements Journal (CDJ).

• Analyze and record cash receipts and disbursements for the month.

• Prepare and compile monthly reports for School Leaders and Board Treasurers, ensuring detailed transaction support is saved.

• Update monthly sub-schedules for balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in the updating of state regulatory reports.

• Prepare website postings, state-required entries, and AFR support as necessary.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in any finance-related position.

• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
