Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• This role is essential for executing core FP&A functions.

• Take ownership of the financial models, reporting packages, and closing operations currently manually prepared by the US Finance team.

• Execute these tasks overnight, ensuring that the US team receives completed, reviewed deliverables each morning.

• Responsibilities encompass three key areas: financial modeling (rolling forecast, EBITDA Bridge, scenarios), BI and reporting (BL packages, dashboards, BvA templates, Investor Package), and close operations (checklist, accruals, accounting liaison).

• The quality of financial modeling, output accuracy, and adherence to formatting standards are absolutely essential.

• Rolling forecast: incorporate monthly actuals → update model in Pigment → reforecast remaining periods → ±5/10% sensitivity analysis → create assumptions memo for SVP review.

• EBITDA Bridge: monthly production starting June 2026 — actual vs. budget, vs. prior year, in a waterfall format, with variance commentary adhering to KLD standards.

• Business line (BL) packages: produced monthly for all business lines — includes revenue, cost, headcount, variance against budget, formatted according to KLD template.

• BvA templates: maintained in Pigment; ensure consistent application of commentary standards across all lines.

• Investor Package: extracted from Pigment, formatted as per template, and assembled as a first draft for FP&A Director's review.

• KPI scorecard: generated monthly — tracks revenue, EBITDA, DSO, cash, and close cycle with traffic-light RAG indicators.

• BI dashboards: responsible for maintaining Power BI dashboards for Collections, Analysts, FP&A — with monthly refreshes.

• Close operations: oversee the close checklist, monitor Accounting SLA (BD1/BD3/BD4), and notify the FP&A Manager of any delays.

• Accruals review: collaborate with Accounting to assess and validate monthly accruals before the books are closed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Excel financial modeling — this is the most critical qualification for this position.

• Ability to create integrated 3-statement models from the ground up: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow — must understand the underlying mechanics.

• Experience in building EBITDA bridges, rolling forecasts, and variance waterfall charts — must have practical experience in a real FP&A environment.

• Familiarity with Pigment, Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar planning platforms — a significant advantage; required from day one.

• Experience in developing PE-grade management reporting packages.

• Skills in Power BI or Tableau — including building and maintaining dashboards from structured data.

• Strong PowerPoint formatting skills — investor-grade output quality is necessary.

• Comfortable working with Oracle EPM / FCCS data exports for report inputs.

• Understanding of the month-end close processes: trial balance, accruals, journal entries.

• Experience in tracking close deliverables and collaborating with Accounting on timelines.

• Meticulous attention to detail regarding financial accuracy — able to identify and escalate discrepancies.

• Strong written English skills — commentary will be reviewed directly by the CFO and PE sponsors.

• Ability to work effectively in an asynchronous manner with the US team across different time zones.

• Proactively identify and flag issues; does not wait to be prompted.
