Financial Data Application Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Support the sales team with demonstrations and strategic trials of AlphaSense’s financial data solutions.

• Collaborate closely with account management by engaging with users through discussions and site visits to deliver advanced training, customizations, and product consultations.

• Specialists possess in-depth knowledge of quantitative analysis for investment and valuation decisions.

• Their comprehensive understanding of both our financial data offerings and client needs enables them to gather feedback and pinpoint product opportunities.

• Serve as an escalation point for our product and support teams regarding complex scenarios that our customers may encounter with our solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A background in finance or corporate finance — for instance, progress toward a CFA or a bachelor’s degree in Economics/Finance/Accounting, OR equivalent practical experience in financial analysis through roles in corporate development, M&A, investor relations, corporate strategy, or competitive intelligence.

• 2-4 years of pertinent experience in equity research, investment management, private equity, accounting, consulting, corporate development/M&A, investor relations, or a similar client- or stakeholder-focused role, with a strong inclination to transition into client-facing positions.

• Proven ability to work with financial data in various forms — such as constructing or interpreting a comparable company's analysis, benchmarking a company against its competitors, or understanding the approach to such tasks. Although you’re not required to have built three-statement models yourself, you should be fluent in finance terminology and capable of conducting benchmarking.

• Proficient in Excel (preferably with familiarity in AI-powered spreadsheet tools and/or experience utilizing generative AI tools within productivity software).

• Exceptional communication skills, as you will be responsible for managing relationships with prominent fund managers, corporate finance leaders, and junior analysts.
