This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Belgium.
• Take full responsibility for the financial administration and reporting of the European entities.
• Ensure the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare consolidations and ensure alignment between local entities and group guidelines.
• Guarantee compliance with BE GAAP as well as relevant laws and regulations.
• Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank functions.
• Promote quality, efficiency, and ownership within the team.
• Maintain a stable and predictable financial operation.
• Drive continuous improvement and professionalization efforts.
• Collaborate closely with Business Unit Controllers.
• Serve as the connection between accounting and business control.
• Ensure consistent financial guidance and alignment between financials and business realities.
• Actively participate in the implementation of Oracle NetSuite across the European organization.
• Optimize the NetSuite configuration and related financial processes.
• Promote standardization, automation, and improvements in data quality.
• Support the integration of financial processes following the merger.
• Harmonize operational practices across multiple entities and countries.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• At least 8–10 years of relevant experience in accounting or controlling within an international context.
• Demonstrated experience with multi-entity structures and consolidations.
• Strong understanding of BE GAAP; knowledge of IFRS is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Belgian and Dutch laws and regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle NetSuite.
• Background in a project-driven organization and knowledge of revenue recognition practices.
• Excellent analytical skills combined with a hands-on mentality.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven experience in leading and developing teams.
• Practical and hands-on approach is essential.
• Proficiency in English is required.
• Preference for candidates based in Belgium or the Netherlands.
• Dutch language skills are preferred.
