Financial Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Oversee French statutory accounting and manage both monthly and annual closing processes.

• Cultivate and maintain the relationship with the external accounting firm.

• Direct the company's compliance with tax regulations for both direct and indirect taxes.

• Develop and take ownership of the company's accounting policies.

• Establish and manage the framework for bad debt provisioning and collections.

• Create and sustain reconciliation workflows.

• Prepare for audit readiness and ensure compliance.

• Promote automation and the adoption of AI within the finance department.

• Assist in shaping the broader finance systems roadmap.

• Collaborate with the Data Lead to fulfill finance data requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proven track record in managing external accounting partners and statutory auditors.

• In-depth knowledge of French statutory accounting (Plan Comptable Général).

• Practical experience with contemporary accounting platforms or ERP systems (Pennylane, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar).

• Experience in the crypto or fintech sectors is highly regarded.

• Language proficiency: native French, with professional working ability in English.

• Strong fluency in technology and data.

• Possess a holistic perspective and sound business judgment.

• Demonstrate high levels of autonomy and an ownership mentality.

• Excellent communication skills.
