Financial Compliance Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Consolidate and maintain the integrity of financial and management reporting across multiple entities and countries, ensuring adherence to IFRS/US GAAP standards.

• Design and establish internal control frameworks, manage financial risks, and guarantee the reliability of financial processes.

• Implement and standardize financial policies, procedures, and reporting methodologies.

• Oversee period-end closing processes and ensure the accuracy of accounting at the group level.

• Coordinate with external providers (accounting, audit, corporate services) and ensure readiness for audits.

• Manage compliance across various jurisdictions in close partnership with Legal and Tax teams.

• Develop and supervise the corporate structure of the group, including interactions with registrars and monitoring of substance requirements.

• Engage in building and optimizing payment and banking infrastructure, including KYC/KYB processes.

• Supervise and manage group-level cash flow, including intercompany settlements.

• Contribute to budgeting and performance analysis (actual versus budget, ROI) to support decision-making processes.

• Prepare management reporting and dashboards for C-level executives.

• Promote process improvements and initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and minimizing risks.

• Collaborate across functions and partake in strategic projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in consolidating and ensuring the quality of financial and management reporting across multiple entities and countries, including adherence to IFRS/US GAAP.

• Strong proficiency in designing and developing internal control frameworks, managing financial risks, and ensuring reliable financial processes.

• Practical experience in implementing and standardizing financial policies, procedures, and reporting methodologies.

• Proven ownership of period-end closing processes and oversight of accounting accuracy at the group level.

• Experience in coordinating with external providers (accounting, audit, corporate services) and ensuring audit readiness.

• Comprehensive understanding of compliance across multiple jurisdictions with effective collaboration with Legal and Tax teams.

• Background in developing and managing corporate structures, including interaction with registrars and monitoring of substance requirements.

• Familiarity with payment and banking infrastructure, including KYC/KYB processes, with a history of optimization.

• Experience in managing group-level cash flow, including intercompany settlements.

• Background in budgeting, performance analysis (actual versus budget, ROI), and facilitating decision-making processes.

• Experience in preparing management reporting and dashboards for C-level stakeholders.

• Proven track record of driving process improvements focused on enhancing efficiency and reducing risks.

• Strong cross-functional collaboration abilities and experience contributing to strategic initiatives.
