Financial Clearance Associate 1

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collect and confirm demographic and insurance details

• Secure authorizations, referrals, and notifications for diagnostic, surgical, therapy, admissions/observations, and other procedures/treatments

• Arrange initial, follow-up, and additional patient appointments and procedures

• Operate in a call center setting

• Achieve individual quality targets, including productivity, accuracy, and customer service QA

• Manage patient flow and guarantee timely processing

• Respond to patient inquiries and concerns by utilizing department, physician practice, and hospital protocols

• Stay informed about insurance requirements, BHSF pricing, financial assistance options, and Revenue Cycle operations

• Deliver professional, empathetic, and friendly service to patients, families, employees, physicians, and community members

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma, certification, GED, training, or experience

• Successfully complete the Patient Access training course

• Capable of thriving in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment

• Proficient in basic mathematical calculations

• Detail-oriented, organized, a team player, compassionate, with exceptional customer service and interpersonal communication skills

• Basic understanding of medical and insurance terminology preferred

• Familiarity with computer applications, including Microsoft Office and EMR systems

• Accurate typing abilities

• Knowledge of HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare coverage framework, including medical necessity compliance guidelines

• Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole

• Less than 1 year of the minimum required experience
