Financial Business Analyst – Power BI, Data Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi.

📋 Description

• Serve as the main IT liaison for assigned Finance reporting areas.

• Collaborate with Finance stakeholders on P&L reporting, balance sheet reporting, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, management accounting, and operational finance reporting.

• Collect, analyze, document, and challenge business requirements.

• Take ownership of reports, dashboards, KPIs, datasets, and analytics products throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Identify source systems and data owners; analyze data structures and determine integration requirements.

• Design scalable reporting solutions that comply with architectural standards and governance requirements.

• Develop semantic models, business calculations, KPIs, and reusable datasets.

• Create ETL/ELT components, Fabric artifacts, Power BI reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions.

• Develop prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) to validate business value.

• Ensure data quality, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, and readiness for production.

• Maintain business requirements, solution documentation, data mappings, KPI definitions, and operational procedures.

• Oversee enhancements, change requests, and report optimization activities.

• Engage with Purchasing, Finance, IT, external partners, and both corporate and regional business and IT teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in BI, analytics, finance systems, or business analysis roles.

• Strong background in combining business analysis with solution development responsibilities.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, SQL, DAX, and data modeling.

• Comprehensive understanding of finance and controlling processes.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX2012, D365 Finance & Operations, or equivalent ERP systems.

• Ability to effectively communicate with finance business users and technical teams.

• Experience managing reporting products from start to finish.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficient in English communication skills.
