Financial Analyst, Travel Supplier Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine supplier revenue, commissions, incentives, and performance data to uncover trends, validate outcomes, and generate insights that aid forecasting, budgeting, business reviews, and strategic decision-making.

• Create and uphold financial models that support supplier negotiations, business case development, forecasting, and strategic planning.

• Collaborate with supplier managers and leadership teams to assess proposed agreements and quantify the expected financial and operational impacts of contractual modifications.

• Assist in annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting through analysis driven by data and evaluations of financial performance.

• Utilize reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications to analyze data against contract models and evaluate strategic alternatives.

• Perform ad hoc supplier analyses and assess potential effects on performance and revenue.

• Create interactive reports using supplier, internal, and third-party data to monitor contractual and financial performance.

• Present analyses to internal teams and illustrate recommended actions based on the findings.

• Enhance reporting capabilities by identifying gaps, suggesting improvements, and collaborating on new analytical tools and solutions.

• Cultivate an expert understanding of supplier data to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of reported results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Previous analytical and financial experience, particularly within the travel industry.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting complex data and delivering actionable insights.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel.

• Effective communication skills (oral, written & presentation) in English.

• Basic knowledge of SQL is an advantage.
