Financial Analyst – Submission Review

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluating the information submitted by entities undergoing a financial viability assessment process. This encompasses:

• Verifying that the details provided by the assessed Entity correspond with those submitted by customers.

• Ensuring all pertinent questions have been thoroughly and accurately addressed.

• Confirming that supporting documentation adheres to the correct formats and is precise.

• Ensuring the information provided is as current as possible and falls within acceptable timeframes.

• A keen eye for detail and the ability to swiftly and accurately identify missing data are essential.

• Reviewing and reconciling the financial information presented, which includes:

• Ensuring the Entity’s name aligns with the business name on the Financial Statements.

• Verifying that the relevant and requested periods have been supplied.

• Confirming that complete documents have been submitted, such as: Full Profit and Loss and Trading Statement (if applicable), Balance Sheet, Notes with account breakdowns (if applicable), Director’s Statement, and Compilation Statement/Auditor's Report (if applicable).

• Analyzing Notes/Accountant Statements/Auditor’s Report to guarantee a comprehensive understanding of the Financial Statements.

• Checking the reconciliation of the Balance Sheet to ensure total figures are accurately calculated.

• Ensuring all figures are included.

• Confirming the reconciliation of income, expenses, and accounts over different periods.

• Being capable of clearly and concisely highlighting any concerns or key points pertinent to the assessment.

• Upholding high standards of accuracy and quality control in all tasks performed.

• Uploading and mapping financial information to the digital platform, which includes:

• Extracting relevant pages from the Financial Statements.

• Verifying that the digitization is accurate and that all numbers and line items have been captured.

• Correctly and accurately mapping various income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity accounts into their respective fields for assessment purposes.

• Completing a Google Sheet to upload the information to the platform for assessment.

• This process necessitates an understanding of Australian Financial Statements and Corporate Structures, as well as the assessment process, to ensure relevant comments are provided.

• Requesting clarifications and additional information from the entities being assessed.

• This will require the ability to communicate clearly and concisely via email with contacts at an Entity or Customer, including External Accountants, Internal Accounts Teams, Financial Managers, Chief Financial Officers, Company Directors, and Administrators.

• The ability to provide comprehensive details and context regarding discrepancies or gaps in the information supplied, ensuring timely responses and minimizing the need for further communication.

• Communicating with the Analyst Team, which is one of the most crucial tasks, as it ensures that all relevant information is conveyed and that the Analyst evaluating the Entity is fully aware of any concerns or issues that may require further attention.
