Financial Analyst – Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +15 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to assist strategic initiatives within the Ophthalmology business unit.

• Create, maintain, and improve budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans utilizing forward-looking financial models.

• Analyze extensive and intricate datasets to uncover trends, risks, and performance drivers, translating insights into actionable recommendations.

• Review monthly KPIs and financial results against forecasts, providing thorough variance analysis and insights.

• Collaborate with accounting to interpret financial outcomes and link results to underlying business performance.

• Assist in preparing monthly business unit review presentations, effectively communicating financial insights to senior leadership.

• Perform ad hoc financial analysis related to the ophthalmology segment, covering new initiatives, refinancing scenarios, and strategic modeling.

• Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a strong focus on detail and commitment to delivering with precision, professionalism, and persistence.

• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, including proficiency with large datasets.

• Outstanding communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation—able to simplify complex analyses.

• Experience in healthcare services or multi-site operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Healthcare Management, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred (MHA, MBA, etc.).

• 1+ years of professional experience in healthcare consulting, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, or operations analytics.

• Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with familiarity in SQL preferred.
