This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Plays a vital role in shaping the strategy for the South Field Service Region.
• Acts as the primary collaborator with the relevant business leader to define strategy for the area of responsibility, ensuring alignment with broader strategic objectives, and executing necessary actions.
• Converts strategy into actionable business plans and sets measurable objectives.
• Manages the business planning and forecasting process for the designated area and serves as the liaison between the plant and the Global Product Group Controller/Division Controller/Operational Manager, among others.
• Tracks progress and delivers insights and analyses to facilitate operational decision-making.
• Recognizes issues and provides management with recommendations and operational strategies for resolution.
• Identifies and communicates commercial and financial risks and opportunities arising from business proposals.
• Oversees work-in-process inventory, project job costing, billing and revenue recognition processes, and leads collections of past due receivables and resolution of customer disputes.
• Establishes and manages processes and tools essential for obtaining clear and reliable financial data and business information.
• Guarantees the quality of financial data and business information adheres to defined standards and financial closing timelines.
• Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
• Defines and implements internal controls for both financial and non-financial operations.
• Directs the monthly closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, intercompany billing, etc.
• Ensures consistent and accurate accounting processes across the organization.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (consideration may also be given to candidates with an Associate's Degree in Finance/Accounting who possess significant relevant experience).
• Over 7 years of experience in a Financial role, ideally collaborating with business leaders and balancing a combination of financial analysis and accounting responsibilities.
• Proficiency in ERP Systems is required (SAP is strongly preferred).
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A driven individual with strong leadership qualities, meticulous attention to detail, self-sufficiency, and a positive customer service attitude.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to be employed by ABB in the US.
