This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Carry out monthly billing processes: create billing files that align with system upload specifications without any formatting exceptions, to be completed by the 3rd business day of each month.
• Reconcile billing outputs with source financial data (including general ledger, obligations, invoices) and service consumption data; identify, clarify, and resolve every discrepancy.
• Oversee customer advance balances: manage drawdowns, monitor remaining balances by customer and service category, project burn rates, and generate exception reports for over/under-utilization by the 5th business day.
• Assist with Treasury G-Invoicing compliance: track agreements (GT&C/Order), monitor transactions, and produce monthly compliance tracking outputs by the 15th.
• Generate financial impact analyses within five business days of government requests, ensuring clear, transparent, and actionable financial reasoning. Address customer billing inquiries and disputes with precise financial evidence within three business days.
• Aid in month-end close activities, produce monthly financial reconciliation outputs, ensure budgetary-to-proprietary tie-points, and prepare audit support packages (transaction-level lineage) within three business days of auditor requests.
• Contribute to billing transparency reports that allow customers to break down charges to services, drivers, quantities, and rates.
• Security Clearance: Public Trust or the ability to obtain one; or a higher-level security clearance.
• Candidates with experience solely in advisory, strategic, or conceptual consulting will not satisfy the requirements for this program. The client specifically seeks demonstrated, hands-on implementation experience — including deployed cost models, executed billing cycles, delivered automations, and operational financial products.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in federal proprietary and/or budgetary accounting, billing execution, or G-Invoicing compliance tracking.
• Proficient understanding of federal financial mechanics: obligations, expenditures, accruals, advances, receivables, and reimbursable/intragovernmental transactions.
• Strong Excel proficiency and disciplined, deadline-oriented work habits; high accuracy under 100%-inspection quality standards.
