This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Financial Analyst II plays a vital role within the organization by executing a range of professional tasks associated with the Mortgage and Finance operations.
• This position is accountable for business reporting and analysis that aid the management team in making informed financial decisions.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders, report requestors, and management to clarify requirements, discuss report interpretations, provide feedback, and suggest actions to present data in an understandable manner for end users.
• Supports financial management, production, and operational leadership.
• Identifies, analyzes, interprets, and communicates trends or patterns in intricate datasets.
• Effectively presents opportunities, findings, and recommended actions to leadership through both verbal and written communication.
• Engages in substantive discussions about business decisions and actions that lead to favorable financial and production outcomes.
• Follows up on decisions made during discussions.
• Communicates information effectively by compiling and summarizing data—often using multiple sources—and creating presentations of findings utilizing various analytics tools, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools.
• Maintains financial models/dashboards and reporting packages, including but not limited to P&L, pro formas, and production and operations KPIs.
• Reviews reporting to ensure it continues to meet the needs of current processes and data collection practices.
• Ensures that data is accurate, consistent, and reliable in all reporting produced and utilized (including in BI tools). Assists in resolving issues related to accuracy, data integrity, and consistency.
• Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies to optimize data quality and efficiency.
• Maximizes these efforts by leveraging technology, BI tools, and other automation methods.
• Supports Senior Financial Analysts, Financial Management, and collaborates cross-functionally to provide assistance.
• Cross-trains in the responsibilities of other Financial Analysts and offers backup coverage in their absence.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a directly related field, or equivalent, preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial analysis-related role is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles is essential.
• Expert-level Excel skills are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Outstanding time management skills, including the capacity to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Advanced understanding of interpreting and consolidating financial statements for various business units.
• Advanced analytical mindset with experience in BI tools and the capability to work with large datasets (e.g., Power BI).
• Ability to adapt to a growing and dynamic environment.
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting to achieve objectives.
• Proficiency in managing communications with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to research issues and identify viable solutions.
• Intermediate expertise in mortgage knowledge encompassing production, operations, and financial aspects, including processes and interconnected principles and concepts.
• Ability to complete projects within established deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Wiki, collaborative cloud-based applications, and third-party software solutions is required.
