This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and uphold multi-year budgets for programs and projects, encompassing personnel (labor) and non-personnel resources (hardware, software licenses, infrastructure, etc.).
• Collaborate with various stakeholders within the agency to oversee PEO budget operations, including the PEO Chief, Program and Project teams, IT Operations team, Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) team, and Comptroller team.
• Coordinate and supervise four significant IT modernization programs managed by the MILDEPs and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS).
• Establish essential metrics for monitoring and forecasting budget planning and execution to deliver analytical insights to executive management.
• Apply intermediate Excel skills for data entry, analysis, and reporting, including a comprehensive understanding of best practices for structuring data, creating pivot tables, utilizing financial functions, and generating suitable graphics.
• Employ critical thinking to execute budget oversight and financial analysis, including in-depth monthly, quarterly, and annual reviews of budgeting, execution, and forecasting activities to ensure financial integrity and accountability.
• Facilitate financial-related meetings and activities with diverse stakeholder groups.
• Oversee procurement requests.
• Assist in the design of the Power BI interface for data visualization and reporting.
• Prepare reports in MS-PowerPoint to update executive leadership on the financial status of PEO.
• Provide support for additional Project Management activities as required.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a financial analyst position.
• Active Secret Clearance.
• Proficient in advanced Excel, including data tables, pivot tables, complex financial functions (compile, analyze, summarize, forecast data), and effective graphics.
• Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to present to various levels of executives, both verbally and through written reports.
• Exceptional writing skills and the capability to work independently in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
