Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the timely and accurate recognition of revenue in line with US GAAP and company policies.

• Carry out pre-earned Direct Bill Reconciliation.

• Aid in the preparation of the earned report, including distributing reports to Managers.

• Collaborate with account managers and commercial lines managers to address invoice discrepancies.

• Oversee exception reports and implement corrections as needed.

• Perform revenue tie-outs against the first draft of financials, ensuring the precision of revenue allocation.

• Calculate deferred revenue for monthly earned reports.

• Assist in audit processes, month-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.

• Evaluate revenue performance against established targets, KPIs, and benchmarks.

• Identify and explore significant variances or deviations, providing insights to stakeholders.

• Contribute to the preparation of forecasts and budgets to facilitate strategic decision-making.

• Generate detailed reports on performance, trends, and analysis.

• Regularly present findings to management and stakeholders, offering clear and actionable recommendations.

• Conduct variance analysis to clarify differences between actual and projected revenue figures.

• Provide key metrics and insights by developing Tableau and Workday reports and dashboards.

• Review earned reports for accuracy, identifying irregularities, swings, and trends in reported revenue.

• Analyze the producer book for revenue redistribution between active and terminated producers.

• Monitor acquisition revenue categorized as miscellaneous income to ensure correct recording with schedule codes.

• Once operational in Epic, reconcile production revenue.

• Assist A/P & D/B Manager with annual surveys requested by Corporate Resources.

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls and Finance procedures, ensuring GAAP compliance.

• Adhere to accounting regulations, internal controls, and finance policies for compliance.

• Propose opportunities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.

• Collaborate with management on acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition of revenue into Epic for acquired entities.

• Work alongside management & IT teams to automate manual processes.

• Assist with special projects related to revenue optimization and business performance as necessary.

• Aid in the implementation of the Workday planning system.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related discipline.

• At least 3 years of experience in Finance.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.

• Experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Background working in a high-growth environment.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with other MS Office applications.

• Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning/Insights is advantageous.

• Self-motivated with excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with team members in a fast-paced environment.

• Capability to meet tight deadlines with a keen attention to detail.

• Experience working with US and offshore clients.

• Must maintain a positive attitude and a sense of humor!
