Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and manage the monthly management reporting package utilizing data from Xero, HubSpot, and Stripe.

• Execute the weekly leadership scorecard with defined metrics, targets, and reconciled data.

• Monitor performance against the budget and provide explanations for significant variances along with suggested actions.

• Analyze enrolments and revenue for Contour Education, TestPrep, and MedPrep.

• Deliver analysis and recommendations to aid in business decision-making.

• Automate ongoing reporting processes using Google Sheets, AI tools, and the BI layer.

• Collaborate with the Accountant and data team to ensure accurate and consistent data inputs.

• Establish a regular weekly and monthly reporting cadence for group finance.

• Report directly to the Financial Controller.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in FP&A, finance analysis, MIS, or business analysis roles.

• Proven experience in creating or managing management reporting rather than merely inheriting it.

• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel.

• Capability to construct a model, conduct variance analysis, and design a clean reporting layout from scratch.

• Proficiency in extracting data from accounting systems, CRM platforms, and payment solutions to create a unified, reconciled view.

• Familiarity with AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar for analytical purposes and reporting.

• Excellent written English skills.

• Ability to work comfortably across the time zones of India and Australia.

• Hands-on experience with Xero or another cloud accounting platform on the reporting side is preferred.

• Experience in constructing dashboards using Power BI or Looker Studio is preferred.

• Background in EdTech, educational services, or B2C businesses with recurring or installment revenue is preferred.
