Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage a portfolio of clients while delivering ongoing fractional controllership services.

• Supervise the month-end close and financial reporting processes for key clients.

• Analyze financial statements to identify trends and opportunities through variance and financial analysis.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and various FP&A initiatives.

• Develop and enhance accounting workflows, controls, and reporting processes.

• Create industry-specific metrics to track financial performance.

• Prepare internal reporting and financial insights tailored to each client.

• Work closely with bookkeeping and tax teams to ensure alignment and accuracy.

• Lead client meetings, effectively communicating financial results and recommendations.

⛳️ Requirements

• CPA designation (preferred) or MBA with substantial accounting and finance experience.

• A minimum of 3 years in FP&A, controllership, or similar progressive accounting/finance roles.

• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, especially month-end close processes.

• Proficient with cloud accounting platforms and Microsoft Excel.

• Willingness to investigate issues and apply professional judgment to problem-solve independently.

• Ability to be proactive and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

• Capacity to excel in a collaborative, high-performing remote team environment.

• Competence in leading client meetings and strategic thinking.
