This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Aids in the development of forecasts and analysis of trends.
• Gathers, verifies, and evaluates financial data to ensure Senior Management receives accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decision-making.
• Acts as a liaison between Finance Directors and the Accounting Department regarding fiscal matters related to the balancing of grants and budgets.
• Assists with the Annual Federal Budget Process, which includes preparing workpapers, schedules, narratives, and budget submissions.
• Conducts reconciliations of Budget to Actuals reports, Trial Balance reports, and PMS Cash reports in preparation for federal filing submissions.
• Prepares and integrates all Budget imports into accounting software.
• Compiles work papers that are used for Reforecasts and Budgeting cycles.
• Conducts quarterly Non-Federal Share assessments with Finance Directors and communicates any deficits to the relevant parties.
• Prepares Non-Federal Share waivers and One-Time Funding requests as necessary.
• Maintains and assists with departmental databases utilized by internal partners (e.g., Vena, Tableau, etc.).
• Collaborates directly with consultants and vendors on report design as required.
• Engages in moderately complex financial modeling.
• Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as needed.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Planning and Analysis, or a similar role with analytical responsibilities.
• A physical examination and background checks are mandatory for this role.
• Local or long-distance travel of up to 10% may be required for work-related meetings and events.
• A valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation is necessary.
• Project management skills are essential.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly with Google Suite applications, spreadsheets, basic data management systems, and internet navigation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Vlookups, formulas, and pivot tables; comfortable working with large data sets and converting them into Financial Models/Analysis.
• Ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Capability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to meet deadlines.
