Financial Aid Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to incoming, continuing, and returning students regarding the availability of Title IV funds and related resources.

• Address student inquiries concerning FAFSA and Direct Loan Entrance/Exit Counseling.

• Complete verification for applications chosen by the Department of Education.

• Resolve discrepancies between financial aid documents and student-file records.

• Conduct financial aid estimates for prospective students.

• Timely submit student files for review by the Campus Compliance Specialist while ensuring a low error rate.

• Collaborate with admissions staff to ensure that future enrollments have the necessary documentation.

• Upload documents into the CampusVue operating system.

• Keep the Campus President informed about students who are missing documentation or required paperwork for Title IV funding.

• Advise students on Institutional Payment Plans and assist with the IPP process when appropriate.

• Utilize and monitor activities in CampusVue.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma (or GED) from an academic institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

• One year of experience in a customer service-related role.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

• Proven ability to uphold confidentiality.

• Must not be in default on any federal student loan.

• An Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.

• One year of prior experience in Financial Aid is preferred.

• Familiarity with CampusVue is preferred.

• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a desk and using a computer.

• Work hours: 10:30 am–7:00 pm EST.
