Finance Operations and Accounting Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Evaluate which accounting and finance processes should be transitioned in-house and take charge of their implementation.

• Create accounting and finance processes while driving automation initiatives.

• Navigate increasing complexity across various entities and countries.

• Prepare accounting entries and finalize monthly closings.

• Supervise multi-entity consolidation and financial planning activities.

• Enhance reporting standards and boost automation efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline — or a professional qualification such as "Internationaler Bilanzbuchhalter" or CINA.

• Significant hands-on accounting experience, including the management and execution of monthly and annual closings in a multi-entity, international setting.

• Background in at least one B2B SaaS finance position at a VC-backed organization within Series B to D.

• Thorough understanding of German GAAP (HGB) along with a solid grasp of IFRS and consolidation practices.

• Comfortable working in streamlined finance teams where you assume both builder and executor roles.

• Capable of articulating financial topics clearly to non-financial stakeholders — approachable by nature and assertive when necessary.

• Proficient in both German and English.
