Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist with Compliance Reviews and Documentation Evaluations for recipients of Federal financial assistance.

• Assess financial management frameworks and internal control systems.

• Execute compliance testing procedures.

• Compile workpapers and document findings in alignment with relevant Federal regulations.

• Engage in planning meetings and assigned review tasks.

• Analyze applicable laws, regulations, client instructions, and recipient documentation.

• Organize review timelines and milestones.

• Evaluate adherence to Federal regulations, grant conditions, and organizational policies.

• Perform document assessments, interviews, analytical reviews, and transaction evaluations.

• Confirm the validity of supporting documents and assess financial records for precision.

• Create and maintain thorough workpapers, supporting documentation, and evidence of review.

• Identify issues, compliance vulnerabilities, and areas for enhancement.

• Draft reports and recommendations based on findings.

• Assist in conducting entrance and exit conferences with recipients.

• Ensure that assigned deliverables are accurate, complete, timely, and adhere to established quality standards.

• Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive financial and program data.

• Participate in ongoing process improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or an accepted equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in accounting, auditing, financial management, compliance, or a related discipline.

• Understanding of financial management principles and internal control mechanisms.

• Capability to analyze financial records and pinpoint compliance risks.

• Proficient in crafting clear technical documentation, workpapers, findings, and reports.

• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.

• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
