Finance Manager – Workday, Subledger

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with top financial services clients to create and implement finance and accounting platform solutions.

• Oversee pre-implementation workstreams, which include authoring Business Requirements Documents (BRD), establishing design principles, and developing reporting strategies.

• Set up and implement accounting hub and subledger platforms.

• Design and validate comprehensive data pipelines that connect source systems to General Ledger (GL), subledger, and reporting layers.

• Create Chart of Accounts structures that align with reporting requirements.

• Define and carry out end-to-end (E2E) testing strategies.

• Lead initiatives focused on subledger modernization.

• Provide support for Business As Usual (BAU) operations after go-live.

• Implement financial planning and consolidation platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8-10 years of experience in finance technology consulting, ERP implementation, or finance transformation.

• Practical configuration or design experience with one or more cloud-based finance platforms, including ERP, accounting hub, subledger, or financial planning and reporting.

• Proven expertise in data pipeline design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) frameworks, and test case management within finance platform environments.

• Strong functional understanding of Record to Report (R2R) processes, including subledger accounting, journal entry, reconciliation, and financial close.

• Experience working with financial services clients in sectors such as banking, insurance, or asset management.

• Capability to produce high-quality client-facing deliverables, including BRDs, design documentation, and testing artifacts.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills for both technical and finance audiences.
