This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Produce accurate and timely financial reports, encompassing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Deliver comprehensive financial analyses to management, emphasizing trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
• Develop and oversee the company’s annual budget.
• Generate detailed financial projections, evaluating potential risks, opportunities, and cash flow forecasts for current and future projects.
• Monitor and assess budget performance, pinpoint variances, and collaborate with project managers and executives to implement corrective actions as needed.
• Supervise and manage the company’s cash flow, guaranteeing that adequate funds are available to meet operational demands and project obligations.
• Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure prompt invoicing, collections, and payments.
• Formulate strategies to enhance cash flow.
• Review and supervise project budgets, expenditures, and cost control strategies to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Implement and uphold robust internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and systems to avert errors, fraud, and financial discrepancies.
• Manage tax filings and compliance, including payroll taxes, GST, and other relevant taxes.
• Oversee and handle tax payments, encompassing sales tax and employee-related taxes.
• Administer and manage the company’s financial software systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and accessibility.
• Manage banking relations, including negotiating credit lines and loans, and overseeing the company’s financial accounts.
• Assist in identifying financial risks and implementing strategies to mitigate such risks.
• Provide senior management and project teams with financial insights to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Demonstrated experience as a Finance Manager within the Australian construction sector.
• Knowledge of Australian financial regulations, including GST, BAS, and AASB compliance, is advantageous.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across multiple construction initiatives.
• Strong understanding of project cost control, contract finances, and monitoring variations, labor, and subcontractor costs.
• Proficient in finance and construction software such as Xero, MYOB, and project management systems like Buildern and Procore is a plus.
• Exposure to or a willingness to learn AI tools (especially Claude) to enhance efficiency, particularly in managing invoices and streamlining internal processes.
