Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary finance partner for the marketing division at Zapier.

• Manage the entire marketing FP&A process, including planning for headcount, constructing budgets, and tracking actual expenses.

• Oversee the analysis of channel allocation for demand generation versus branding and lead the reporting on ROI by channel.

• Predict sales pipeline based on expenditures as part of go-to-market (GTM) objectives and annual recurring revenue (ARR) modeling.

• Identify potential risks to pipeline coverage or targets at an early stage.

• Function as an integrated business partner to the marketing leadership team.

• Monitor purchase orders and vendor commitments in relation to the budget and highlight any risks of overspending.

• Evaluate the connections between marketing expenditures, pipeline creation, and closed-won revenue in collaboration with Sales and Revenue Operations (RevOps).

• Collaborate with the Data team to define and manage pipeline reporting standards.

• Leverage AI to streamline recurring finance tasks, including aspects of month-end closing and reforecasting processes.

• Report directly to the Head of GTM Finance while working alongside Marketing, Sales FP&A, and Corporate FP&A teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A robust background in investment banking with experience in go-to-market strategies, or over 8 years in marketing FP&A or GTM finance.

• A solid understanding of the conversion of sales pipelines to closed-won revenue.

• Proven experience managing budgets comprehensively, covering headcount, actual spending, and purchase orders.

• A strong grasp of channel-specific marketing economics, cost per pipeline, and linking expenditures to pipeline and revenue results.

• The ability to independently tackle loosely defined challenges.

• Proactive in identifying issues and opportunities with sound judgment.

• Active engagement with AI tools and a strong sense of discretion.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Google Sheets, Databricks or Snowflake, NetSuite, Zip, and HubSpot is preferred.
