• Construct and sustain comprehensive financial models for various business sectors including e-commerce, technology, professional services, and consumer goods.
• Create business performance reports and tailor financial and operational KPI dashboards; provide monthly KPI updates.
• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to assess and validate monthly financial performance for clients.
• Conduct monthly variance analyses comparing actual figures to budgets and continuously changing forecasts.
• Partner with clients to uncover analytical and modeling initiatives beyond the standard budgeting and review processes to deliver enhanced value.
• Offer insights and recommendations to clients based on scalable best practices aimed at enhancing their outcomes, streamlining internal processes, minimizing or optimizing costs, and boosting sales.
• Extract strategic insights and overarching conclusions by analyzing data.
• Support clients in the fundraising process, including the creation of investor-facing models, leading the financial diligence process, and engaging directly with venture capitalists.
• Assist in training Propeller’s Financial Analyst team.
• A minimum of 4 to 6 years in finance-oriented roles such as:
• At least 2 years in investment banking and/or consulting.
• At least 2 years concentrating on FP&A and/or strategic finance in-house at a technology or high-growth firm.
• Strong team player with a solid work ethic.
• Excellent financial modeling and presentation capabilities.
• Profound understanding of financial principles and a growing knowledge of accounting standards.
• Proficient in constructing complex three-statement financial forecasts and delivering detailed variance analyses and insights to guide business decisions.
• Comfortable with data and uncertainty, with a capacity to dive into details and adjust priorities as necessary.
• Highly organized, capable of managing and prioritizing multiple client projects.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to mentor others within the organization to enhance the overall internal FP&A skill set.
