Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the senior finance partner to sales leadership within a designated territory.

• Offer financial insights that influence business decisions.

• Present financial outcomes, risks, and recommendations to senior and executive audiences.

• Collaborate with accounting and operations to address issues impacting the territory's P&L.

• Grant finance approvals utilizing sound judgment and financial controls.

• Oversee the annual planning process and quarterly and monthly forecasting updates.

• Reconcile backlog and evaluate inventory status to identify potential risks.

• Develop and maintain historical and predictive driver-based financial models.

• Monitor performance against forecasts and adapt plans as the territory changes.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L variance analysis relative to budget and forecast.

• Report on operational metrics and KPIs, highlighting performance trends.

• Manage executive and ad hoc reporting and presentation materials.

• Create summary charts, tables, and dashboards.

• Advocate for Power BI dashboards and modern self-service reporting tools.

• Demonstrate the use of AI-assisted tools to expedite analysis and enhance forecast precision.

• Develop scalable financial tools, analyses, and metrics.

• Standardize KPI frameworks and definitions of financial data.

• Mentor and train analysts on technical skills, business insights, and executive communication.

• Review analyst deliverables for accuracy and clarity.

• Promote curiosity, ownership, and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Collaborate with FP&A leadership on resource planning and team development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Over 7 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or commercial finance.

• Experience in reviewing or mentoring junior team members' work.

• Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office, including VLOOKUP, IFS, pivot tables, and charts.

• Proven experience in constructing historical or predictive financial models with dynamic inputs.

• Practical experience with Power BI or similar BI tools, including providing guidance on dashboard design.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools like Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT, with a track record of using them to enhance team efficiency.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, comfortable presenting to executive audiences.

• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

• Problem-solving, results-driven mindset, with a strong bias for action, ownership, and accountability.

• Capability to self-manage and work independently to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Preferred: CPA, CMA, CFA, or MBA credentials.

• Preferred: experience in formally managing or mentoring analysts.

• Preferred: background in technology, managed services, or professional services sectors.

• Preferred: familiarity with OneStream, Adaptive, or Hyperion.

• Preferred: experience with D365, SAP, Oracle, or Great Plains.

• Preferred: proficiency in SQL or Power Query.

• Preferred: experience with revenue recognition principles and service or product margin economics.
