This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee Medsien’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting functions.
• Develop and sustain financial models to support both short-term execution and long-term strategic objectives.
• Formulate forecasts for revenue, expenses, headcount, cash flow, and profitability.
• Evaluate company performance in relation to budget, forecast, and historical data, identifying key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
• Generate financial reports, KPI dashboards, and provide executive-level insights for company leadership.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, Patient Growth, and other departments on financial accountability and departmental plans.
• Assess pricing strategies, customer profitability, unit economics, margins, investments, hiring strategies, and resource allocation.
• Create models for new products, programs, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist in cash management, runway planning, scenario analysis, and capital-planning decisions.
• Collaborate with internal and external accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Enhance the reliability, consistency, and automation of financial data, reporting, and forecasting methods.
• Establish scalable financial planning processes and operational rhythms as Medsien expands.
• Support the preparation of materials for boards, investors, lenders, financing, and due diligence as required.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to leadership by translating financial and operational data into actionable recommendations and decisions.
• Report directly to the COO.
• A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in strategic finance, FP&A, financial planning, or a similar finance role.
• Extensive experience in building and maintaining financial models, budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, and long-range plans.
• Proven ability to analyze business performance, identify significant trends, and convert financial data into actionable insights.
• Experience in creating management reports, KPI dashboards, budget-to-actual analyses, and executive-level financial presentations.
• Solid understanding of financial statements, accrual accounting, revenue, expenses, cash flow, and the interrelationship between operational and financial performance.
• Experience working with business leaders to assess investments, headcount, pricing strategies, resource allocation, and other strategic choices.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, with the capability to create reliable and scalable financial models.
• Strong analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to independently oversee recurring planning and reporting processes.
• Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial leaders.
• Capability to work hands-on in a fast-paced organization while developing more scalable financial processes and reporting systems.
• Nice-to-have: experience in a high-growth, venture-backed, SaaS, technology-enabled services, or healthcare technology firm.
• Nice-to-have: knowledge of healthcare economics, medical billing, claims, reimbursements, or revenue-cycle operations.
• Nice-to-have: experience in supporting recurring, usage-based, per-member, or service-based revenue.
• Nice-to-have: experience in analyzing unit economics, customer profitability, gross margins, pricing, and contribution margins.
• Nice-to-have: experience with workforce planning, capacity modeling, sales commissions, and departmental budgeting.
• Nice-to-have: experience in preparing financial materials and reports for executives, boards, investors, or lenders.
• Nice-to-have: experience in supporting fundraising, financing, due diligence, or strategic transactions.
• Nice-to-have: familiarity with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Ramp, Bill.com, or similar platforms.
• Nice-to-have: experience in enhancing financial data quality, reporting automation, and cross-functional planning processes.
• Nice-to-have: CPA, CFA, CMA, MBA, or another relevant finance credential.
