Finance Functional Lead, Oracle Fusion Cloud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the product vision, roadmap, sprint planning, and backlog for Oracle Fusion Financials.

• Lead all new initiatives related to Oracle Fusion Finance from design to go-live.

• Serve as the main point of contact for the Controller, senior Finance leadership, and accounting teams.

• Oversee the offshore managed service partner responsible for Finance KTLO support.

• Conduct hands-on configuration and system modifications for Oracle Fusion Financials.

• Manage testing, training, documentation, quarterly upgrades, release readiness, and ensure production stability.

• Lead the analysis, design, and delivery of consolidation and intercompany elimination solutions.

• Implement and enhance the Oracle Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS).

• Establish and maintain Oracle Fusion Project Accounting and Lease Accounting.

• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, SOX walkthroughs, audit PBC documentation, controls, and remediation processes.

• Design and implement AI and intelligent automation solutions across Finance processes.

• Collaborate with integration and engineering teams on related Finance applications such as Concur, Workday, Blackline, Workiva, and Adaptive.

• Create Finance dashboards, KPIs, and insights using BIP/OTBI or BI/Analytics partnerships.

• Ensure Oracle Fusion configuration adheres to SOX-compliant controls, segregation of duties, and audit traceability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of hands-on experience in owning/supporting Finance ERP platforms within IS&T/IT, with expertise in Oracle ERP implementation.

• Practical experience with Oracle Fusion Financials functional configuration, data analysis and reporting (BIP/OTBI), testing, and production support.

• In-depth knowledge of Record-to-Report, Close, Billing, Revenue, Cost Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and FP&A.

• Hands-on experience with Consolidations & Eliminations in Oracle Fusion.

• A foundation in finance and accounting, preferably through CPA, CMA, or direct experience in GL/AP/AR/close/audit.

• Experience managing offshore Managed Service Providers (MSP).

• Ability to present, influence, and collaborate directly with Controllers, VPs of Finance, and senior accounting leadership.

• Experience leveraging AI capabilities to transform Finance operations.

• Direct experience in integrating and governing top-tier Finance applications.

• Strong financial and analytical skills, along with a deep understanding of Oracle Finance core data structures.

• Extensive experience with SOX, audits, and working in regulated environments.

• Experience in dynamic, high-velocity environments with changing priorities.

• Strong project/program management abilities with experience in Agile/iterative delivery.

• Preferred: Big 4 or Tier-1 consulting experience, Oracle Fusion ERP/Financials certifications, Project Accounting or Lease Accounting implementation experience, M&A/integration/rapid-scale experience, and experience in the life sciences, diagnostics, or medical device industries.
