Finance Executive Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +5 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the entire finance function, creating scalable systems, overseeing cash flow, enhancing profitability, and spearheading financial strategy.

• Provide precise, audit-ready financial statements by the 20th of each month, ensuring complete account reconciliation with no significant errors.

• Develop and maintain a rolling 12-month cash forecast, updated on a weekly basis.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes across all departments.

• Create automated systems and workflows to minimize manual reporting time.

• Collaborate with leadership to boost profitability and enhance EBITDA.

• Draft and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for closing, forecasting, cash flow, and reporting processes.

• Implement systems for expense management, travel, and purchasing by the sixth month.

• Generate financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Collaborate with Product, Sales, and Operations teams on growth initiatives, cash flow management, and inventory planning.

• Assess ERP and reporting technology solutions to support the company's scaling efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required (MBA or CPA is highly preferred).

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

• Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

• Experience in implementing scalable systems and automation within expanding organizations.

• Comprehensive understanding of GAAP, compliance, and tax regulations.

• Proficient in tools such as Xero, QuickBooks, or advanced Excel/Google Sheets.

• Exceptional analytical and communication skills; able to simplify complex concepts.

• Experience in e-commerce or multi-channel retail is preferred.
