Finance Data & BI Technical Lead – Azure, Snowflake, Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical delivery and quality of Finance data and BI solutions.

• Lead the design and execution of data pipelines, data models and marts, as well as reporting and dashboards.

• Ensure adherence to data governance, architectural standards, and industry best practices.

• Serve as the Technical Lead for Finance data initiatives, overseeing design, estimation, and delivery.

• Collaborate closely with senior Finance stakeholders to convert business requirements into scalable solutions.

• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to the delivery team.

• Engage in hands-on activities when necessary, including development and troubleshooting.

• Promote Agile delivery and CI/CD methodologies using Azure DevOps and GitHub.

• Continuously enhance the Data and BI framework along with operational practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Extensive experience in delivering comprehensive data solutions within Finance environments.

• Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.

• A hands-on approach paired with leadership capabilities.

• Proficient in English.

• Over 6 years of experience in data engineering/BI, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

• Strong familiarity with the Azure data ecosystem (cloud and hybrid).

• In-depth expertise in Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory, Power BI (including DAX), and SQL.

• Exceptional data modeling skills, particularly in dimensional modeling.

• Solid understanding of Finance domain concepts such as financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), budgeting and forecasting, cost allocation and profitability, KPI frameworks, and finance data governance and compliance.

• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps methodologies.

• Ability to manage and coordinate both internal and external delivery teams.

• Strong communication and documentation skills.
