Finance Data, BI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Implement data and business intelligence solutions (pipelines, data marts, reporting, and visualization) in accordance with SGS data governance, standards, and best practices.

• Utilize Agile methodologies.

• Develop and maintain (evolutionary, corrective, and adaptive) data and business intelligence projects such as data warehouses or data marts.

• Employ a CI/CD approach to enhance the development workflow.

• Take ownership of the activities you engage in.

• Keep abreast of the latest data trends by participating in events and pursuing relevant training.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the SGS Data & BI Framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess a Degree, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Proven experience in designing, building, delivering, and maintaining data solutions.

• Familiarity with ERP, EPM, and financial data sources.

• Committed to providing an excellent user experience.

• Willingness to travel based on project needs.

• Strong communication skills, capable of clearly engaging with senior stakeholders.

• Fluent in English.

• Over 4 years of professional experience in developing and supporting complex cloud business intelligence solutions.

• Ability to comprehend business requirements and translate them into Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, or Data Mart solutions.

• Extensive experience in data modeling, particularly in dimensional modeling and OLAP engines.

• Solid functional understanding of financial data, processes, and rules.

• Profound knowledge of Snowflake, DBT, Azure Data Factory, and Power BI.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Extensive experience with Power BI, including DAX language.

• Experience with CI/CD using Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Visual Studio.

• Ability to produce clear and well-structured technical documentation using a central DevOps document repository.

• Familiarity with Jira or similar tools is a plus.

• Capability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.

• Proficient in communicating complex ideas effectively—both verbally and in writing—in English (mandatory) and Spanish.
