Finance Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of the company's accounting operations, encompassing general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

• Ensure the precision and promptness of financial statements and reports, in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Lead the closing processes at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, guaranteeing thorough and accurate financial reporting.

• Develop, implement, and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and protect company assets.

• Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring the accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.

• Coordinate and manage both internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and standards.

• Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities for the accounting team, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture.

• Collaborate with other departments to support business operations, strategic planning, and decision-making.

• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement to streamline accounting processes and enhance overall financial performance.

• Prepare and present financial analyses, reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership roles within accounting, preferably with a background in a large accounting firm.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc.).

• Outstanding organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively engage with various stakeholders.
