Finance Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete accounts function across various publishing entities.

• Deliver weekly and monthly financial reporting packages to leadership.

• Offer top-level guidance to leadership regarding business trends and revenue costs.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance forecasting models for business planning.

• Perform scenario analysis and financial modeling to aid strategic decision-making.

• Create dashboards and intelligence reports to enhance visibility into business performance.

• Integrate actual financial outcomes into forecasting models and reconcile forecast versus actual results, identifying significant variances.

• Engage in strategic cash planning and manage liquidity.

• Track and report on cash runway planning.

• Assist in new business modeling and commercial analysis to identify growth opportunities.

• Evaluate margin performance by product, geography, and revenue stream.

• Issue and reconcile a substantial number of invoices.

• Accurately record and report revenue across entities.

• Prepare and maintain P&L statements and balance sheets.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable.

• Collaborate with external accountants to prepare for tax seasons and audits.

• Supervise and guide the existing bookkeeper as needed.

• Process and manage payroll utilizing ADP.

• Handle bill payments and vendor management through Melio.

• Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3–5 years of experience in a controller, accountant, or senior bookkeeper position.

• Essential proficiency in QuickBooks.

• Experience with ADP for payroll processing.

• Familiarity with Melio or a similar AP/bill payment platform is preferred but not essential.

• Strong knowledge of multi-entity accounting and revenue recognition principles.

• Extensive experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning.

• Proven ability to prepare executive-level financial reports, dashboards, and business intelligence insights.

• Strong commercial insight with the capability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.

• Experience in analyzing margins, profitability, and performance across various entities, products, or geographical areas.

• Advanced financial modeling skills in Excel / Google Sheets.

• Capacity to produce precise financial reports with minimal oversight.

• Excellent written and spoken English skills.

• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.

• Demonstrated experience managing high-volume invoicing environments, with the ability to accurately process and reconcile large transaction volumes across multiple entities/brands.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced finance environment with high invoice throughput.
