This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a strategic financial consultant to operational, clinical, and executive leadership.
• Collaborate with service line leaders, practice managers, physician leaders, and department directors.
• Oversee the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
• Create financial models to support strategic initiatives and operational decision-making.
• Generate monthly financial reports, performance dashboards, and management reports.
• Examine variances between actual results, budget, and forecasts.
• Identify risks and opportunities impacting financial performance.
• Serve as the primary finance contact for designated departments, clinics, service lines, or business units.
• Convert complex financial data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Assist in achieving operational, productivity, and financial goals.
• Assess staffing, labor productivity, volumes, reimbursement, and expense trends.
• Discover opportunities for cost reductions and revenue enhancements.
• Aid in the development of corrective action plans for unfavorable variances.
• Track performance against key performance indicators.
• Prepare business cases for new programs, services, providers, capital investments, and facility expansions.
• Conduct analyses including ROI, breakeven, profitability, trend, bridge, and scenario analyses.
• Assess financial impacts related to physician recruitment and compensation.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, and strategic growth initiatives.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.
• Adhere to Wellstar Health System policies, work standards, and code of conduct.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required; a Master's in Business Administration/Management is preferred.
• At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance FP&A, healthcare finance, or business analysis is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a health system, physician enterprise, ambulatory network, or hospital setting is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience assisting operational leaders and executive decision-making is preferred.
• CPA or CHFP certification is preferred.
• Proficient in advanced Excel and spreadsheet analysis.
• Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis.
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement and provider productivity metrics.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Part-time schedule of 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday during business hours.
