This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee financial operations across various behavioral health locations within assigned divisions by providing operational support, financial guidance, and labor management.
• Engage in Monthly Operating Reviews, delivering insights and explanations for the divisions and facilities under your purview.
• Analyze financial statements and perform financial statement assessments along with statistical calculations to detect trends and manage KPIs effectively.
• Collaborate with Divisional Presidents to establish, enhance, and refine KPIs and dashboards.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure that facilities comply with Group Purchasing contract stipulations and purchasing approvals.
• Create and sustain intricate Excel models to evaluate business outcomes, drivers, budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc analytical requests.
• Assist operations through analytics, project facilitation, and providing financial education to facility leaders.
• Suggest actions based on data interpretation, comparative analyses, and service line evaluations.
• Develop and implement decision-support tools to pinpoint financial, operational, and business challenges and opportunities.
• Collaborate with FP&A on forecasting and budgeting processes for the designated division.
• Evaluate QoE statements and associated materials, including linking financial results to the pro forma model.
• Offer operational insights for M&A, de novo, expansion, and other growth initiatives, including staffing and resource allocation.
• Assess managed care contracts and business development efforts to optimize net revenue.
• Cultivate relationships with assigned facilities and conduct virtual and/or in-person visits to review financial operations, providing feedback and guidance.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive and proprietary information.
• Stay updated with industry knowledge and perform additional assigned tasks.
• A Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management, accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required.
• CPA, MBA, or a related advanced degree is preferred.
• Strong preference for candidates with previous multisite healthcare or behavioral healthcare experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive relevant experience, demonstrating ownership of financial and operational outcomes.
• Solid technical knowledge of accounting principles.
• Ability to interpret financial statements effectively.
• Proven leadership and teamwork skills, coupled with a high level of emotional intelligence.
• Capability to assess situations, identify issues and challenges, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite and Oracle Essbase/NSPB is preferred.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities from various levels of management.
• Flexibility to quickly adjust priorities as needed.
• Capacity to work and establish connections with a diverse range of individuals.
