This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in documenting daily banking transactions and escalate any unusual or complex issues to senior team members.
• Input accounts payable invoices and aid in the preparation of accounts receivable and sponsorship invoices.
• Support journal entries, conduct bank reconciliations, and gather supporting documentation under the supervision of senior staff.
• Help ensure accurate financial records by performing precise data entry in accounting software.
• Aid in processing payments and assist in setting up garnishment records.
• Assist in managing and tracking ring orders, chargebacks, and legacy documentation to ensure accurate recordkeeping and related communications.
• Address general inquiries from internal teams and agents, escalating complex issues to the appropriate team members.
• Assist in preparing and distributing periodic reports and regular communications.
• Monitor shared inboxes and direct emails to the relevant individuals for prompt follow-up.
• Support data cleanup and maintenance of records across financial systems and spreadsheets.
• Help organize and maintain financial and operational documentation to uphold compliance and recordkeeping standards.
• Assist with accounting department projects, including automation, dashboard creation, SOP documentation, and worksheet development.
• Currently pursuing a post-secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, with eligibility for a co-op or internship work term.
• Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits, accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and basic financial statements.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, VLOOKUPS, and pivot tables.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy while working with financial data and documentation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and keep well-organized records in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written communication skills, capable of preparing professional emails, documentation, and reports.
• Comfortable learning new technologies and business systems; experience with ERP/accounting platforms such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate discrepancies and escalate issues as needed.
• Proactive and inquisitive mindset, genuinely interested in discovering opportunities to enhance processes, improve efficiency, and increase data accuracy.
• Dependable and professional, capable of handling confidential financial information with discretion.
