This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Financial and payroll accounting preparation: You will independently manage the monthly financial and payroll accounting processes, ensuring that all relevant documents are complete and organized for timely submission to our tax advisor.
• Reporting and controlling: You will collect and organize our financial data for internal analysis, documenting payment flows and project-related expenditures as part of funding reports for our grant partners, collaborating closely with the management team and project leaders.
• Cash flow management: Even nonprofit organizations have bills to pay. You will ensure that all payments are processed punctually.
• Administration process optimization: You will assist in the continuous development and standardization of our internal processes, tools, and documentation structures within the administrative domain, promoting transparency and efficiency.
• Administrative assistance: You will take on selected administrative responsibilities beyond your core duties in daily operations, helping to maintain smooth organizational processes within the team.
• Numerical proficiency & digital skills: You have a strong affinity for numbers, proficient Excel skills, and comfort with digital tools, preferably with prior experience in accounting or controlling software.
• Precision & accountability: You approach your work in a structured, accurate, and reliable manner, keeping deadlines—such as those for fund disbursements or reporting—firmly in focus.
• Organizational skills & overview: You maintain oversight while managing multiple projects and budgets, clearly structuring information, and are comfortable with administrative tasks or detailed analyses.
• Independent and collaborative work style: You work autonomously and solution-oriented, proactively advancing topics while also valuing team interaction, asking questions when needed, and recognizing collaboration as a significant benefit.
