Filler/Seamer Field Service Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Execute all responsibilities in alignment with JBT Marel safety protocols while fostering a safety-oriented work environment.

• Conduct maintenance and setup tasks on all JBT Marel products, including but not limited to Powder Filling, Liquid Filling, Seaming, and Blending machinery.

• Proficient in utilizing the metric system with measuring tools to assemble equipment.

• Configure and modify machines in the field according to equipment specifications.

• Customer-focused with a positive, can-do attitude.

• Possess strong electromechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components of machinery.

• Carry out machine audits, repairs, and scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Perform inventory assessments of new equipment before installation commences.

• Install, commission, and configure JBT Marel filler/seamer products at customer locations.

• Identify issues, disassemble machines, replace faulty parts, and reassemble them.

• Welding skills are advantageous.

• Recognize and articulate root cause issues during troubleshooting.

• Safety-conscious leader with a proven history of prioritizing safety.

• Manage changeovers and set up change parts while ensuring proper clearance and timing.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the capability to produce detailed technical reports.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities combined with a positive and professional demeanor.

• Must exhibit active participation, leadership, and dedication to executing JBT Marel strategies.

• Cross-training is expected, and where feasible, provide training to customers and colleagues.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-6 years of mechanical, electrical, or controls experience, or field service experience with knowledge of canning filler/seamer product lines.

• Preferred two-year technical school training or relevant field experience.

• Basic computer proficiency, including iPad and smartphone usage, as well as familiarity with email, Word, Excel, etc.

• Experience with seamers, Blenders, Fillers, and Capping equipment is preferred.

• Manufacturing experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
