Field Technician – PSS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Program, modify, troubleshoot, and configure both new and existing fire alarm systems, encompassing EST3, EST4, and FireWorks platforms, along with system expansions, upgrades, and programming adjustments.

• Review current programs and system databases to ensure proper functionality and implement necessary corrections or enhancements.

• Conduct system commissioning, programming validation, functional testing, and verification of fire alarm systems (preferably Edwards/EST).

• Carry out thorough device-level and system-level testing, including network communications and integrated system performance.

• Confirm installation quality and ensure systems are fully operational, compliant with codes, and ready for turnover and final acceptance.

• Timely communicate project status, risks, deficiencies, and critical issues to Project Management.

• Ensure adherence to NFPA requirements, relevant local codes, company safety protocols, and customer expectations.

• Assist in project closeout activities by delivering accurate documentation, test results, programming records, and deficiency reports.

• Willingness to travel (50% or more, depending on project demands).

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Over 10 years of experience in installing, programming, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems.

• A valid driver's license is mandatory.

• Experience in programming Edwards EST3 Systems.

• Experience in programming Edwards EST4 Systems.

• Experience in setting up Edwards FireWorks.

• NICET Level II certification or higher is required; or an equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated experience with system startup activities, including installation, programming, testing, and commissioning.

• Strong understanding of fire alarm regulations and testing requirements, with a preference for knowledge of NFPA 72.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and riser diagrams.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.
