Field Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Accountable for delivering high-quality installation and integration services for remote Low Latency microwave equipment.

• Adheres to comprehensive procedures while executing tasks to ensure quality standards are met.

• Conduct installation and inspection of Ethernet, Coaxial, and fiber connectors. (Tools will be provided by the Company)

• Offer field support in areas such as equipment delivery coordination and the installation of batteries, rectifiers, inverters, and related infrastructure utilized in Microwave networks.

• Engage with DC Power systems operating at +24v and -48v.

• Manage the running and lacing of power cables.

• Execute running, cleaning, and testing of fiber connections.

• Oversee cable management, detailing, and labeling within equipment cabinets.

• Maintain company assets including vehicle inventory, tools, and test equipment to ensure they function properly and are readily available.

• Complete necessary administrative tasks promptly and accurately.

• Follow safety protocols and procedures diligently.

• Provide on-site evaluations of ongoing construction projects; consulting with construction managers or project managers regarding adjustments to plans.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver's license.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Data Center Integration, Low voltage systems, Network Integration, and/or Microwave system Integration.

• Relevant experience in computer operations, switching, and radio or data communications.

• Ability to move and/or lift materials weighing up to a maximum of 60 pounds and safely drive long distances to fulfill job assignments.

• Willingness to work during the day, evening, or night, including emergency call-outs, weekends, and holidays as needed. May require extended periods away from home location.

• Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as basic test equipment.

• Capable of comprehending technical information and interpreting construction drawings.

• Must be prepared to work in extreme temperature conditions.
