Field Specimen Phlebotomist – Floater

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide coverage at various client locations during the absence or openings of Processors and Phlebotomists.

• Welcome and identify patients in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

• Gather billing and testing details following SOP protocols.

• Collect urine and oral fluid specimens for drug testing purposes.

• Conduct blood collections utilizing venipuncture and capillary techniques.

• Accurately and promptly enter patient information.

• Package and prepare specimens for transportation to the testing facility.

• Carry out customer service responsibilities, including handling phone inquiries and engaging with patients.

• Collect patient payments in accordance with SOP.

• Comply with HIPAA and DrugScan compliance policies.

• Adhere to safety regulations, sample-handling protocols, workstation cleanliness standards, and personal protective equipment (PPE) procedures.

• Maintain supplies at the workstation.

• Travel across multiple states up to 90% of the time.

• Execute other tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in phlebotomy.

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program.

• Willingness to travel up to 90% of the time.

• Proficient in performing venipuncture and capillary blood collections.

• Capable of collecting urine and oral fluid specimens for drug testing.

• Ability to adhere to SOPs, HIPAA regulations, and DrugScan compliance policies.

• Skilled in performing accurate and timely data entry.

• Must meet the physical demands of medium work, which includes frequent walking, standing, or squatting and the ability to handle weights up to 50 pounds.

• Preferred 1 year of customer service experience.
