Field Services Engineer

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Ensure that photovoltaic power plants consistently achieve the agreed-upon service and operational performance targets in accordance with established SLAs.

β€’ Review service reports and related documentation promptly, sharing them with relevant stakeholders.

β€’ Guarantee compliance with maintenance schedules in collaboration with the Team Leader Field Services and subcontractors.

β€’ Monitor critical accounts and ensure swift and effective resolution of technical issues.

β€’ Coordinate daily operational activities and oversee the resolution of outstanding site-related challenges.

β€’ Collaborate closely with subcontractors and internal teams to address escalated customer concerns.

β€’ Conduct electrical testing (e.g., insulation resistance, continuity, IR testing) and complete the required certification documentation.

β€’ Perform the replacement of inverters, isolators, panels, and other defective components as necessary.

β€’ Maintain precise records using field service applications or CRM systems, including reports, photos, and test results.

β€’ Coordinate with O&M coordinators to report issues, request spare parts, and schedule follow-up activities.

β€’ Provide a high level of customer service while operating across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.

β€’ Assist with upgrades, retrofits, and the implementation of monitoring and smart systems.

β€’ Support root cause analysis to identify and resolve plant performance issues.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ Completed technical education or relevant field experience in electrical, mechanical, or renewable energy disciplines.

β€’ Relevant certifications such as 18th Edition, ECS/CSCS card, First Aid, IPAF, or SSSTS.

β€’ Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), installation specifications, and test reports.

β€’ Experience with plant controllers (PPC), SCADA systems, reactive power systems, or hybrid PV/BESS systems.

β€’ Basic understanding of IT systems, networks, and data communication.

β€’ Knowledge of CCTV and security system architecture.

β€’ Strong hands-on technical skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

β€’ Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

β€’ Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented approach.

β€’ A clean UK driving license is required; AP/SAP qualifications and experience with various inverter and transformer manufacturers are considered a strong advantage.
