This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver on-site and remote upgrades as well as troubleshooting for Motorola ASTRO systems.
• Offer technical assistance for specialized systems and product applications.
• Diagnose software-driven electronic issues.
• Provision communication system infrastructure while optimizing RF and Broadband architecture.
• Maintain, enhance, test, and document intricate communications systems.
• Administer and resolve issues in IP networks and IT environments.
• Install, configure, and sustain cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
• Oversee server hardware, operating systems, and software infrastructure.
• Address system and application-related challenges.
• Prepare weekly reports detailing activities and achievements.
• Collaborate with customers, subcontractors, sales, engineering, project management, and customer support teams.
• Travel both internationally and domestically up to 75%–80% of the time.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must be able to obtain an acceptable adjudication of DOD Secret (T-3) clearance within 18 months of starting employment.
• Completion of SF86 questionnaire and fingerprinting is necessary for national security positions.
• Willingness to earn CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification within the first year of employment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT, networking, technician roles, field service, system technician/specialist, radio frequency, or land mobile radio.
• Permanent residence should be within 60 miles or less of a mid-to-large-class international airport.
• Capability to obtain or hold a U.S. Passport and International Drivers Permit.
• Must be able to legally drive and rent a vehicle as required.
• Physical ability to lift approximately 50 pounds.
• Basic understanding of networking, cybersecurity principles, Active Directory administration, and LMR communications.
• Advanced knowledge of ASTRO core applications including UNC, PM, UEM, ESXi, IMW, KMF, HBSS, and PKI.
• Proficient in troubleshooting IP networks and managing IT environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite applications.
• Understanding of LAN/WAN communications systems, cabling, routers, switches, firewalls, and bridges.
• Competence in maintaining and troubleshooting server hardware, operating systems, and software infrastructure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, self-management, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Openness to travel internationally and domestically up to 75%–80% of the time.
