Field Service Technician II – Mechanical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Install and maintain mechanical systems for conveyor, sortation, and automation equipment.

• Commission and fine-tune systems, which includes software checkout and control system startup.

• Supervise subcontractors to guarantee safe and high-quality installations.

• Diagnose mechanical problems and assist with change order implementation.

• Execute material unloading, staging, inventory/CSIM, and commissioning tasks.

• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical schematics and operate installation machinery.

• Assess installation quality, document performance metrics, and pinpoint areas for improvement.

• Collaborate with installers, trades, contractors, and site leaders to achieve project objectives.

• Perform functional tests and assist in customer acceptance processes.

• Monitor scope alterations and collect customer feedback throughout the project duration.

• Identify opportunities for additional services and enhance customer value.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical field service or industrial mechanical experience.

• At least 2 years of experience in installing and servicing mechanical systems related to conveyor, sortation, and automation equipment.

• A minimum of 2 years troubleshooting mechanical systems in industrial or automation settings.

• 2+ years of experience in reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical schematics.

• 2+ years of experience overseeing subcontractors or technicians.

• 2+ years of advanced skill in using mechanical and electrical installation tools (including wrenches, torque tools, power tools, measurement devices, etc.).

• 2+ years of experience working with Microsoft 365 for business applications.

• OSHA 10 Certification (OSHA 30 is preferred).

• Willingness to travel and be on the road up to 90% of the time within the United States.

• A valid driver’s license (Real ID compliant or passport for air travel).

• High school diploma or equivalent credentials.
