
Field Service Technician, HVAC – Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Travel to customer locations to initiate, commission, and safely troubleshoot and repair Data Center equipment.
• Conduct factory start-up, commissioning, warranty, and billable service on Munters Data Center equipment and systems.
• Safeguard and maintain Munters equipment and property.
• Respond promptly to all service requests from customers or management.
• Deliver training to customers on Munters equipment.
• Provide detailed technical feedback on equipment through comprehensive field service reports.
• Recognize that the primary responsibility of Field Service is to respond instantly to customer needs.
• Over 5 years of experience and in-depth knowledge in the Mechanical field, particularly in HVAC.
• Frequent travel is necessary, up to 90%, throughout the USA by both plane and car.
• Extensive expertise in electrical troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose electrical issues proficiently and document data.
• Knowledgeable in all safety procedures and requirements, with training in Arc flash, lockout/tagout, and other safety protocols.
• Familiar with and capable of utilizing all personal protective equipment (PPE) associated with electrical safety.
• Comprehensive understanding of refrigeration systems.
• Capable of pressure testing, evacuating, and charging systems independently.
• Knowledgeable in refrigeration system concepts and adept at troubleshooting and diagnosing refrigeration issues.
• Skilled in brazing and soldering techniques.
• Possesses a universal refrigeration certification.
• Extensive knowledge in Controls, with experience in troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems.
• Understands PLCs and can work with various platforms.
• Able to access and adjust information from PLCs.
• Capable of connecting a computer to a PLC for communication and modifications.
• (Optional) Must have a State Licensed Master HVAC mechanic certification, which entails years of experience, training, and testing, including work under seasoned professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills with site personnel as well as Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support staff.
