This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Data Center Service Technicians are responsible for traveling to customer locations to initiate, commission, and effectively troubleshoot and repair Data Center equipment.
• This role necessitates the ability to work autonomously, and candidates should possess strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Some project management skills are required while onsite for start-up commissioning and coordinating with other trades and services.
• Execute factory start-up, commissioning, warranty, and billable service on Munters Data Center equipment and systems.
• Safeguard and maintain Munters equipment and property.
• Respond promptly to all service requests from customers or management.
• Conduct customer training on Munters equipment.
• Provide technical insights on equipment through detailed field service reports.
• Recognize that the primary responsibility of Field Service is to provide immediate responses to customer needs, and being part of a team ensures we remain available to address any urgent requirements.
• Over 5 years of experience and comprehensive knowledge in the Mechanical field, particularly in HVAC.
• Significant travel is required, up to 90%, throughout the USA by both plane and car.
• Proficient in electrical troubleshooting, with the ability to diagnose electrical issues and document findings effectively.
• Familiarity with safety procedures and requirements; trained in Arc flash, lockout/tagout, and other safety protocols.
• Knowledgeable in the use of all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) related to electrical safety.
• Extensive understanding of refrigeration principles.
• Capable of pressure testing, evacuating, and charging systems independently.
• Comprehends refrigeration system concepts and can thoroughly troubleshoot and diagnose refrigeration issues.
• Skilled in brazing and soldering techniques.
• Possesses a universal refrigeration card.
• Extensive control systems knowledge, with experience in troubleshooting, programming, or downloading to control systems.
• Familiar with PLCs and adept at working with various platforms.
• Ability to access and adjust information from PLCs.
• Competent in connecting to a PLC using a computer for communication and modifications.
• (Optional) State Licensed Master HVAC mechanic, which requires extensive experience, training, and testing, along with experience working under seasoned professionals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
• Effective communicator with other site personnel, as well as Sales PM, Service Manager, and Technical Support staff.
